Posts Tagged “Podcasts”Here is a sample podcast from myself and Miss Walsh on the upcoming weather in Denver. The 6th graders are working on a podcast of their own this week. We should have them posted by sometime next week.

Second try for the podcastsPosted by: Mr. Mansour in 8th Grade, Cool Sites, tags: PodcastsUnfortunately, the first page I posted for the podcasts doesn’t work right. I spent much of last night trying to fix it, but to no avail. Hopefully, I’ll be able to fix it soon. In the meantime, I’ve re-encoded the podcasts as mp3s and attached them to a new page that actually works. Check out the podcasts here.

This week in Mr. Mansour’s classroomPosted by: Mr. Mansour in 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade, Current Studies, tags: DNA, Podcasts, projectsThis is the final week before the midterm report and a busy one for the science classes at JMSO. In the sixth grade we’ll be reviewing our biome boxes and having a retake of the test from last week. (This time, the sixth graders have to know about more than just the specific biome they studied). We’re also continuing to practice for our next Green Monkey presentation at St. Margaret Mary. The seventh graders and I will be continuing our studies of DNA culminating in the extraction of DNA from a banana on Thursday. In the 8th grade science class, we’re still working on our podcasts. I mistakenly thought that 20 minutes was long enough for students to complete their podcast. Since we only have two computers to work with this is going to take a little bit longer than originally planned.

Podcasts in the WorksPosted by: Mr. Mansour in 8th Grade, Current Studies, tags: Podcasts, science, Sound WavesThe 8th graders are studying wave energy and we’ve spent the last couple weeks learning the ins and outs of sound. Currently the students are working on podcasts covering the topics we have learned about in class. They’ll be recording the podcasts this Friday and next Monday. I’ll post the link to the page once they’ve completed them. |
